We Rock the Spectrum - Piscataway

Hello!

Get ready to rock out in Piscataway! My name is Victoria Rodriguez; I am the new owner of We Rock the Spectrum Piscataway. Several life events have led me down the path to open a We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym. The most relevant being the Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis of my son, Zachary, at the age of 3. Throughout our journey, it became evident that most party and recreational facilities do not address the needs of the special needs community. Our community lacks a fun, safe, and supportive environment for special needs families. We Rock the Spectrum wants to be an advocate for change by offering access to sensory equipment, classes, camps, and support groups. We will be the perfect place for our kiddos to develop friendships, practice social skills, and promote inclusivity for all.

About Victoria

I live in the greater Piscataway area with my two sons, Isaiah and Zachary. I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with an MBA in Executive Management and have worked the last 16 years in finance for different corporations. At the age of 3 my son, Zachary, was diagnosed with Autism. I spent several years looking for places my family could find that had both fun and therapeutic activities. Over the years, I’ve learned from having hands-on experience and gained knowledge from several therapists and doctors. I feel I have knowledge to share with other families and I am passionate about helping others along on their journeys.

While looking for a sensory gym for my children I stumbled upon We Rock the Spectrum then began exploring the idea of owning a business with a purpose. I am extremely excited to start a new purpose driven journey that supports my community and provides a safe environment that promotes acceptance and inclusivity. I want We Rock the Spectrum Piscataway to be a place where our families can thrive, support one another and help us all along on our journeys. The sensory gym will provide access to unique equipment to assist children with neurological growth, sensory based swings and toys, an indoor play structure, motor play toys and equipment, an arts and crafts area, and physical fitness programs.
